The Strength of My Heart
Hi Everyone. Thank you so much for all your help during these crazy unsettling months of Covid-19! This morning I have been thinking about Psalm 74:25,26. It says, "Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever."
Sometimes it is so hard to navigate through uncertainty. I have been thinking of our beautiful home for some of our children that God built through all of you a few years ago. It was our plan to take so many children in and care for them immediately, but it did not happen the way we had expected it to happen. And now with Covid-19 running rampant it has seemingly put another roadblock in the way. But, after reading this verse and meditating on it this morning, it seems that there is something so much more important than taking care of the physical body...something so much more important than our plans.
Somehow, God being with us...Somehow, God being ours...is better than anything. This has been becoming the reality of our children. As time goes on and uncertainty seems to be more persistent than ever there is such a peace and a joy in teaching our kids about something more important and more needed than the physical needs we all have. In our human hearts not having what we need is scary, but we are also filled with comfort and peace by the Wonderful Counselor and seeing this comfort and peace growing in our children's hearts is just so amazing.
We are still most definitely planning on opening the Little Hands of Hope Children's Home with 5 children to start with when we can. As we all wait expectedly for that day when we can open, we do appreciate your prayers so much! And as we continue to wait, the work we are able to do with with kids because of YOUR support is more important than ever! As we continue feeding them every day, taking care of their medical needs and nourishing their souls with Christ, would you pray with us that the physical needs of food and medical care would be provided for? We are very much in need of support to keep feeding and caring for our kids in every way possible! If you would like to help care for our children, you can do that right on our website on the donations page or send a check made out and mailed to:

But even more importantly than these physical needs, would you pray that our children's hearts would live completely saturated in Christ and they grow in Him more and more? Our hearts and prayers are with all of you, also! Thank you for all you do for our children! Thank you, Jesus.
